My name is Olivia, I have been in crypto for approximately 5 years now. I am a 4th year nursing student and I have taken my final year off to pursue more involvement in the blockchain and defi space. I have a true passion for this space and genuinely love learning more and being able to help grow the space.
You have several projects. If you don’t mind me asking, what is the position of each project for you?
BeeSwap was my first project in defi. I was motivated to create a yield farm since many of them on Binance Smart Chain were being “rug-pulled”. I wanted to offer a “safe” yield farm to people in the defi space that they know would not “rug-pull”.
ASS or “Australian Safe Shepherd” is a community owned token that I had deployed on Binance Smart Chain for individuals looking for a safe dog coin to invest into in early 2021. Many peers in the space asked me to deploy a token for them that they knew would not rug. My intention when launching this coin was for it not to be my coin but 100% a community run and community owned coin this is why I locked liquidity for 69 years and renounced ownership. ASS token has an amazing team in the community which is dedicated to building and growing the project I help them out from time to time when I can to support the project.
Kyoto 3088 is an NFT line that I partnered with another female artist in the space to create. I myself and truly inspired by 90’s style anime and that was the inspiration behind this line. We currently hold gaming tournaments in our community to create team dynamics and are looking for further utility going forward such as an “alpha” chat for those who hold the NFTs.
In the naming above, there is Kyoto. Did you get inspiration from Japanese anime? I live in Osaka, next to Kyoto, so I feel close to it. Have you ever been to Japan? If so, please tell us your impressions of Japan.
I have a deep appreciation for anime, I grew up watching it and drawing it, my favorite show growing up was Inuyasha. I have never been to Japan but it is a dream of mine. My mother used to travel to Japan often when I was very young and bring me home so many amazing things and I have been wanting to go ever since! When I have some time in the future I will definitely be coming to Japan.
What is your passion for the gm project and what is your goal?
Like I said, I am extremely passionate about the blockchain and defi space, and I am so happy to be working alongside other team members on this project. It is my goal for our team to create one of the most well recognized “social” or “cultural” coins in the space. I would love for gm to have a viral effect in which people outside of the crypto space know what “gm coin” is similar to how they know what “doge coin” is.
I’d like to ask you a few questions about your vision. gm club will have benefits like the Amex Platinum Club. When will it be released, and will it be available in Japan?
Yes our idea for gm club is for it to be structured similar to the Amex Platinum Card Club benefits. We do not have any timelines yet but we hope for this to become available and widely used by Q1-Q2 2022. We are seeking out potential partners to join the club. The details of where the benefits will apply will come down to the partners we have, we want to make sure that they are accessible world wide so we will take this into consideration when on-boarding partners.
I would like to ask about the metaverse concept. Have you decided on which platforms you will enter? Also, when will it be released?
We have not yet decided which metaverses we will enter but we are keen on entering the Sandbox metaverse. We are actively seeking our a large plot of land where we can develop a “gm” themed section.
How will the gm community develop in the metaverse?
This is still unknown and we will definitely be sure to provide more details when we know which projects we will be partnering for entering metaverses.
Regarding the gm ecosystem, I think it is intended for collaboration and cooperation with other projects.
Yes, we are definitely looking to partner and collaborate with other projects! We think that a lot of projects are doing amazing work in the space and it would be extremely humbling to work alongside them and mutually benefit.
Can you tell us about your great team members? How many team members do you have? Please lightly introduce what kind of team you have.
We have roughly 30 active team members that help behind the scenes some are anonymous some have their identities out. We have members that moderate telegram, focus on marketing, work on development, help with social media posting, advisory, and more. We will likely come out with more team bios depending on the comfortability of who would like to release their identities. We respect that some team members prefer to remain anonymous.
Since it’s still early days since the launch of the product, in light of the innovator theory, do you think that people who are about to purchase the product are also innovators?
I believe anyone in the blockchain and defi space can be labelled as an “innovator”. Anyone who is in the space is extremely early and is contributing to a massive financial revolution. Meme coins and culture coins in my opinion are great options for new investors to become acquainted with the space and opens them up to new opportunities for investing in blockchain technology.
I think the Japanese presence in telegram and discord is not so strong, but they like the social networking service named LINE, and gm fans in Japan are increasing day by day more than you think. Do you have a message for Japanese investors?
I want to thank the Japanese investors for their hard work. They are one of the communities that stands out the most to me on social media. I would say the English and Japanese communities are the most prominent that post the highest quality content on Twitter that I see on a day to day basis. I would like to offer more marketing and strengthen the Japanese community more since I see a lot of potential there. If you or any other Japanese marketing agencies would like to reach out to our team in regards to this please feel free to reach out via gm@gmwagmi.io.
Thank you again for interviewing me and for all of the amazing work you put in for our community.
